English as a Language of Abundant Information

There is not a particle of dounbt that English is full of information compared with Japanese. One can find it undeniable when he reads news on news websites or is going to amass information through the internet. For instance, there are more news found in yahoo.com than Yahoo Japan. The two websites which are same company indeed and broadcast both domestic and international news likewise differs in some sense. Readers can find several new head lines every an hour on yahoo.com while there is only a pausity of news provided every day on Yahoo Japan. It is partly because people in Japan are less interested in international affairs such as suicide bombs in Iraq which has been apparently facilized or stupefied people's reactions; Japan's people has started to be less interested in the same news broadcasted occassionally. And it is also because that there are less incidents directly related to Japan have been happened compared with the United States. However the main reason why English has more information than Japanese is that yahoo.com is more exposed to English-speaking readers not only in the US but all over the world, so the discrepancy between yahoo.com and Yahoo Japan happens.
English is a international language nowadays. It means that people who understand English can share their thoughts and opinions regardless with their cultural backgrounds, domiciles, and worships. (That is one of reasons some people insist that English is a way of communication, I suppose.) It also means there is a plenty of needs for information that can be understood by at the best 1380 million people. The figure is according to Wikipedia.org. (Of course, not all of the 1380 million people can fully comprehend English. That is also one of reasons why English is a way of COMMUNICATION for some people, I suppose.) On the other hand, Japanese is spoken by only Japanese ethnic, approximately 130 million people. Japanese is minor language in that sense.
Information in English, hence, tends to be increased, overspread, and then recieved by people from different backgrounds. English information should be availabe broadly and provided with more than a billion people. (Why is the international language role operated by English, not Japanese, Islamis, Chinese, or other languages?)
